As he became the face of the upcoming famous Tesla, his relationship with the founders sparked a legal battle that was settled out of court.

The company’s name was given in honor of Nikola Tesla, who is a Serbian inventor and an engineer who developed the very first modern alternating current motor. On the first versions of the Tesla motors website the company’s leaders announced “without the belief of Tesla’s vision, our car would not be possible. The co-founder of the company selected the name after struggling for months in an idea that is then-girlfriend sounded appropriate. They decided the name over dinner when he suggested Tesla as the company name.
- The batteries make all the difference in this new world-
There many electric cars in the present market, varying from Nissan Leaf to the new Mercedes Benz B class, but the company won over the customers with its unique blend of power and its range. The reason behind this was that other manufacturers used a specialized large format lithium-ion cell. The company’s battery pack is made of thousands of inexpensive commodity cells that is similar to the ones in the laptop, but more refined. There are more than a billion of these cells produced in a year for all kind of industry, meaning their design and its performance has a lot of fierce competitive pressures in the market.
